Research

My research combines intelligent systems design and human-computer interaction to support novel educational and universal computing experiences. Past and ongoing work spans intelligent tutoring systems, brain-computer interfaces, natural language processing for medical and legal texts, and sketch-based interfaces, including my dissertation work on assessing children’s fine motor development through sketching activities.
